Come learn to row with DC Strokes! Our Learn-to-Row program is open to everyone and provides introductory exposure to sweep rowing in a non-pressure environment. The instructor-to-student ratio is no greater than 1 to 12 to ensure adequate participant interaction. Our experienced coaches will introduce you to the basics of the technique, equipment, language, and fun of rowing. The other objective to this class is to help you decide whether rowing is a sport you enjoy and can make the time commitment for, to be able to continue learning with our Novice program.
LTR Lead Coach: Elisabeth Fondriest

Session B Includes:
Part I
5 classes (one Saturday and four Sundays, from 1pm to 4pm April 29, 30 and May 7, 14, and 21).

Part II
Tuesday, May 30 - June 9th. Classes are held Monday to Thursday, from 6:15-7:45pm (total of seven classes available). You are free to choose which nights you come although a minimum of two nights per week is recommended. All should plan to attend the first meeting on May 30. At this conclusion of this session you will have the option of moving on to the novice program, which begins Monday, June 12th.
Full payment must be made by April 22, 2017 to guarantee your spot.
If you have not paid by this date, your registration may be cancelled.

Withdrawal/refund policy: Class space overall is limited and the class size is designed to optimize everyone's rowing opportunity; too few people is just as problematic as too many. With this in mind, we have established the following policy for people who find they need to drop out.  Students may cancel their participation in the class up to one week prior to the class start date and receive a refund of the course fee.  Within one week from the class start date, we will refund the fee only if we can replace you in the class.  Once the class begins, no refund is available.

Please consider your schedule and availability before signing up for this session. Because there are only five classes, missing one means missing 20% of the course content and can make moving on to the novice program more challenging. Regardless, all students must attend both days' worth of classes on the first weekend (Saturday and Sunday, April 29 - 30). If you have a conflict with either date, you need to sign up for one of the weeknight sessions.
