Pre-Season Camp
WHEN: 19-21 March (Friday-Sunday)
WHERE: Anacostia Community Boathouse
WHO: Open to all rowers with at least one season experience.
COST: $50 for Strokes members and $150 for non-members
Back by popular demand, we are once again offering a three-day program to kick-start the rowing season. This camp will focus heavily on technique and is ideally suited for our upcoming 2nd year rowers. Over the course of the camp, we'll get in about 10 hours of water time, which equates to nearly two weeks of regular practice! Folks, this is immersion for rowers! We're also going to have clinics on proper stretching, off-water training, and safety. Our aim is to equip you for a successful season. Of course, we have included social activities in the evenings as well.
Check out the complete schedule and sign-up. The cost is $50 for the entire weekend.
WHAT: It's always hard to get back into the rowing routine, so this year we're havin' ourselves a camp. We will have plenty of time on the water over the 3-day camp, but we will also spend time talking about stretching, off-water training, and safety. Of course no camp would be complete without plenty of opportunities to socialize and bond.
WHEN: March 19-21 (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). We know some people won't be able to get off work on Friday or even the whole day; we still encourage folks to sign up and make the sessions that you can.
WHO: We are ecnouraging everyone to come and we're inviting all of our friends from around the country. For DC Strokes members...
- All 2nd year DC Strokes rowers are strongly recommended to attend
- All other rowers with at least one season experience are encouraged to attend
- Open to rowers outside DC Strokes
